I'm Free

I'm free-
strings are cut
that were holding
my arms up
my legs down-
what it feels
like to move
unencumbered
is freedom
from attachments
to wherever those
strings led.
I'm nobody's
puppet anymore.
If there are any
strings to be
pulled
I am the one
in charge of
pulling them
now.
But I feel no
strings--total
freedom from
all outside
influences.
I choose for me.
Without considerations
or fears that being
true to myself
will bend anyone's
psyche a little-or a lot-
out of shape!
