Relationships

Like a chick
ready
and willing
to bust
out of an
ever so thin
and fragile
eggshell
I wait
in the darkness
listening
for foxes
outside my
"door"
willing
and ready
themselves
to pounce
on the next
morsel that
shows itself.

Such a risk
to breakout
and be seen
rather than
remain
anonymously

invisible

inside.
