A Friend In Need

I have a friend
around the bend
who thinks he's fine
when he's full of wine!
I ask him to send
another friend
healing vibes
for all the tribes.
Of course, he does
in church he prays
and walks out
in a daze
wondering if our
friend is well
and changed the bell-
well, the tune it plays.
No, he says.
His car's still broke
as well as he
living in poverty.
We will continue
to send until
he's on the mend
back on his feet
for us to meet
on the happy day
he's home to stay.
