Change is good and welcomed
but not always easy.
We want things we don't have
thinking the having of them will
make things right in our lives,
leaving us happy and fulfilled.
We have a lot already, unmined
for more value than any new
trinket could potentially bring.
We're caught in the cultural
disease of, "more is always better".
Then the clutter of our lives
suffocates our experience of
now and we go on a rampage-
eliminating every once desired,
but now useless, object from
our possession.
Anybody ever think, there must
be a better way?
Have we painted ourselves into
a materially-dominated
and defined reality?
Simple is better.
Even less
may be more desirable
beyond what could be
considered excess,
better used by another.
