The day blew by
like a dollar bill
in the wind.
Another day.
Another dollar bill.
I did have "fun"
though it was
"hard work"
most of the time.
But therein lied
(shouldn't lie) the
reward.
I helped, consoled
encouraged,
reprimanded, joked
laughed, was silly,
serious, angry
overwhelmed,
appreciating, enjoying
relieved, anticipating
and many other
emotions that collaged
the remnants of
this day's experience
in my memory.
For all it's imperfections,
it was definitely a keeper.
I should only hope to have
that good of a time
on any other given day
and do aim for that
as often as possible.
I love my job when
I can be challenged
beyond my reach...
