Composure and Poise

Composure in writing
as in life
is all essential.
How you say it is
almost as important
as what you say.
Words come from
seemingly nowhere.
How did I know that
word?, you ask yourself.
Writing, speaking,
and reading vocabularies
vary with use I would
imagine. You can't take
for granted they're all
the same, as much as
you'd like them to be.

Yoga produces fluidity
of the body, and
composure and poise
result from it's regular
practice.

To smoothly flow,
a stream bypasses
obstacles effortlessly.
A dam usually slows
it's progress temporarily,
but rocks, logs, bends
and turns all are taken
with ease.  The stream
is composed and super
fluid.

Even in winter,
high in the sky
it still flows
deep beneath
it's frozen surface.

Where did the stream
learn such talents?
To be able to keep
going under the most
adverse of conditions?

Beavers aren't even a
hazard.

Going with the flow,
for a stream, is the
most natural of
circumstances. It
doesn't have to read
up on how to do it.
Humbly, it wants no
accolades for doing
it's thing going toward
the ocean.

It just appreciates
it's existence
being supported
by it's source.
