Fun

The day declares itself
open for business.
Life is supposed
to be
fun.
I suggested she take out
is supposed to be.
It either is
or
it isn't.
Every second
you work on getting
it back on track
to being
fun
if it isn't already
or you wouldn't
be thinking about
how unfun it is.
Today was fun
except for when it
wasn't
then it was fun
and interesting
and exciting again
interspersed with
moments of learning
which sometimes are
only fun in retrospect.
But ironically that makes
them so worth the time of
being unfun that they took up
to learn an invaluable
lesson accompanied by the
pain and suffering
attached to it
but like pulling off a
bandaid, the hurt goes
away after a while
and you can show your
proud new healing off
to yourself and the world.
